Government Schemes & Pricing
The UK Government’s domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme means that you could receive quarterly cash payments over seven years if you install eligible renewable heating technology.
The scheme was set up to encourage homeowners, communities and businesses to make the shift to renewable heat technologies through financial incentives. The UK Government is the first in the world to create such a scheme and expects that it will help to significantly contribute to the 2020 ambition of achieving 12% of heating coming from renewable sources.
The scheme was launched on the 9th of April 2014 across England, Scotland and Wales, targeting but not limited to off-gas homes, as a way to financially support owners of renewable heating systems for seven years.
Further information about the UK Government Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy’s scheme can be found on the UK Government website. Eligibility rules and requirements can be found on the Ofgem website. Ofgem have published a document case studies from the domestic RHI for information.
